This e-commerce site caters to film lighting fans, set lighting technicians, and gaffers. The question then becomes, “Who am I?” I’m a gaffing and set lighting enthusiast of nearly ten years.
A gaffer is a person who sets the scene. A gaffer is the person in charge of the lighting on a set. Working with the lighting for a film is the most challenging and satisfying aspect of the production process.
When I started my gaffer quest, I was fortunate enough to have several gaffer friends who taught me a thing or two.
